A young energetic, enthusiastic, motivated boy from small town of shedbal in Belgaum district of karnataka stepped into metro city Delhi in 1988 with a lot of dreams in his eyes to make a wonderful career in the field of art. He joined one of the renowned Art galleries named gallery Aurobindo as a gallery manager.
The name is Praveen upadhye founder of Gallery , who got a master degree from dharwad karnataka from where the famous artist K.K. Habbar also studied in dharwad. Wallorking at gallery Aurobindo he got a chance to meet many famous artists and art critics from the art world, Like B.C Sanyal, Sunil Das, Ram Kumar and many more legendary artists. In the year 1997 he left this job and joined VHAI (Voluntary health association of india ) as an art consultant. In VHAI he handled all exhibition works, selling of paintings, interaction with artists. He used to organise all the shows, camps, exhibitions. Praveen Upadhye earned a very good reputation in the art world because of his kind and friendly behaviour. During this period he participated in many art shows and displayed his own work.
Actual journey started in the year 1999, when he decided to open his own art gallery to promote young aspiring artists, and he made it in the year 2000 by openinging gallery PIONEER. By opening this gallery he gave a platform to young and established artists to promote their works.
The journey of more than 20 years defines a journey where we met many artists, buyers, art enthusiasts. The artists with whom we dealt have now become top and renowned artists. We offer a wide range of services including consulting services for artists, collectors, institutions, and corporate houses in India and overseas. Gallery Pioneer has a wide collection of artworks of legendary artists like F.n Souza, M.F Husain, Jamini Roy, S.H Raza, and many more. We have successfully curated more than 50 exhibitions in the past two decades and formed a platform for trading genuine and authentic artworks directly from art collectors and artists.
